The property must be in the same condition in which it was while moved in. Many times a tenancy agreement will contain a clause stating that the tenant will have the property cleaned by a professional before moving out.
With each new tenant, the landlord wants to get the most out of his property. So regardless of the type of property, cleaning before the start of the lease or after the end of the tenancy is often compulsory. The scope of which is typically indicated in the tenancy agreement.
There are a few times when the cleaning is left up to the landlord and not the tenant. But, typically a tenancy agreement is created so that the tenant is left responsible for it. The fact that the tenant is responsible for the cleaning can be very beneficial to the property owner, knowing how difficult it can be to clean up after one tenant leaves while getting ready for the next one.
Professional cleaners are sometimes hired by tenants when they move out of the property but the owner has to supervise them. With tenancy cleaning, you can be sure that no part is overlooked and everything is cleaned. This consists of refrigerators, ovens, hoods, shelves, cabinets and any other tops and surfaces. Also included are windows, sills, light fittings, baseboards, switches and the rest of the property. Bathrooms are cleansed from ceiling to floor so are carpets and upholstery.
Tenants who want to save some money do the cleaning themselves before leaving. But because moving from one place to another is already exhausting, cleaning should not be your primary concern. More so, if you do not have the luxury of time, this action is not very practical since an average two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with no oven and carpet will consume 5 or 6 hours to be cleaned.
Customarily, the tenant makes the decision with regards to the cleaning of the property, given that it will be left in proper condition.
